CAF Rifle Pics
Here are some pictures of the .357 CAF rifle. The CAF is currently named the “Commemorative Air Force”, but was originally named “Confederate Air Force”. There is an explanation as to the name change on the CAF’s website http://www.commemorativeairforce.org/ This Hartford Arms rifle is one of only fifty made in 2007 (designed, engraved and promoted by ‘American Legacy Firearms’) as a fund raiser to get “Fifi” flying again. The engraving on this particular rifle reflects the name “Confederate Air Force”, simply because of the year it was made for (1977). The name change did not occur until 2001. It is also unique because most (of the 50 made) were not a .357 nor were they a trapper model (simply meaning the barrel is 4″ shorter than most) like this one is. It is truly “One of a kind”.
